Before & after
A before and after picture of the chest that I found in my mothers basement. I has been my fathers from when he first moved away from home. It's so much nicer in black, don't you think?

You can see on the light of these picture that it's getting darker here even in daytime. Fall is definitely here now. This week we are going to have a fall theme at work. We are going out to look at different trees and we are painting leafs and are going to see films about Swedish trees. Talk about getting fall from every angle! maybe I can show you the paintings here later. have a good week!

A view of my home
Here's a little view of my home. The hall to be specific. It's a before and after picture of the mirror I painted last week. It's an old mirror that used to hang in the house that I grow up in.
So many people that are no longer with us have looked in this...and I like the thought of that! The theme for that hall is black & white & wood. As I will show you more of my home you'll see that the black is a theme for every room in our apartment.

craft & creativity on your vacation
This week I'll continue on the theme: craft & creativity on your vacation. For travelling in Denmark I had my knitting and watercolours with me. This was because I knew there would be losts of beautiful scenery for me to paint and since we travelled by car, knitting was perfect! I have almost finished the started sweater, all that remains is sewing it together and I have already shown you some of the views I painted. But we also went to Stockholm for a couple of days by train. When travelling by train watercolours ain't the best! On the way up I had my podcasts and a book.

I'm back!
I'm back, from what it feels like, a long blog vacation.
Today I had my first day of the semester at Uni for the last time. This is my last semester and then I'll be all grown and ready to go to work!!!(a bit scary) This is the beginning of something new and to celebrate that I've made some changes here on the blog. New colours, tags on every post and a little pic of me;-) This is me jumping on a gigantic trampoline at a place in Denmark we stayed in. O, I had fun!!
There are going to be some more changes as the time progresses but other than that I'm back to swapping and planing my etsy and just being creative. I'll have some more children's crafts and later into fall I'll start with ceramic Tuesday again. Here are some more pic from our vacation

The new chunky pages are ready to go in the mail
For my other group on flickr, "around the world"- chunky page swap. This time we had travel as the theme and it got me thinking about the travels I did as a child. My mother is from Denmark so we spent many summers there visiting family and friend. We often rented a house in the country side of by the sea and just did nothing for a week. I remember my parents being much more relaxed and happy which made us children more happy and relaxed. As an adult I still love travelling but now I travel as far away as possible, forgetting about my summers in Denmark.

New chunky pages in the making
I don't know what I have gotten myself into, but I'm now co-admin for the around the world-flickr group. I'm not so sure what it means yet, but I guess I'll find out!
I'm now working on my second round of the chunky pages and this time the theme is travel. At first I thought that this would be easy, all we did 2006 was travel. But then I started to think about it and for weeks I couldn't come up with a good idea for a page. And afters some serious thinking I thought of the country I have travelled to the most, Denmark. My mother is from Denmark and I speak Danish and we have a lot of family and friends there. Me and J are going to travel around in that country this summer, so it's perfect! I'm painting Denmark, more specifically Langeland. One of the most beautiful parts of the world, so peaceful and relaxing.

Spring is in the air!!
It feel like spring is here for real now, the air is warm and the sun is shining. It's inspiring!
Went out for a walk in the neighbourhood and saw spring flowers, the colours are so inspiring. When I got home again I decided to design a pattern for a spring sweater in the same green colours as the flower petals (also the only yarn I had at home). In two shades of green cotton yarn and a 100% wool yarn in a mustard yellow-green. This is going to be fun, see if I'll like the end result...

painting in oil again
I have always painted ever since I was a little girl, my biggest dream then was to become a famous painter. But the last couple of years I have not had any inspiration, until this weekend!
I started to mix colours and found that I gravitated towards the pastels and out of that pastel palette I made some icy landscapes. Because I liked the colours so much I felt so inspired and made three small paintings in one weekend!

White, white, white
At the moment I have a lot of little projects going on in my apartment and since we live in a small place my stuff is taking up a lot of space...I guess we will never live in a place big enough for all my projects;-)
Well, I can't show all my projects at the moment but will post more in the future! What better way to symbolize my feelings at the moment than three white canvases?!
