swapping

Today is my first day on summer break! The weather has been great and I haven't hardly thought about work...I guess over the next couple of days that will change and I will slowly come in vacation and perhaps blogging mode!? To begin with I'll show some swapping pic that I've been in lately. Yellow has been the theme: Yellow & Purple and red & yellow, to be exact.

This is my favourite colour cobo at the moment...

Enjoy the sun, if you can see it!

prepping from some swaps

For a long time I have thought that I should stop this swapping thing.
It can be rather expensive and no one in IRL understand why I do this. But it's addictive! And it's when I make these cute little parcels that I come up with some really great ideas for my own crafting. The apples for example, are an idea from the fruit swap last year.
Here are my two current swaps, Isew and greens. For the Isew-swap I made three different coloured swap parcels with the content almost the same. And with the greens swap and doing a traditional parcel. It's not ready yet, I still have to get some more things.

Do you swap?

All the cool kids are doing it....

I'm on twitter! Or I', trying to figure it out....Join in too!
and I'm swapping again! Soon I'll be back in the game!

Mail goodies!

Being in both FAA lucky parcels group and PIF (pay it forward) makes my life a little more cheerful! The other day I got THREE parcels in the mail! It is so much better to get a craft supplies parcel in the mail than boring bills and other stuff...

We are entering the season for crappy photos so it's not the parcels fault they look like this:
I got three parcels in one day!
The PIF- parcel for october
The olive green & mustard yellow parcel
and finally the last white & neutral parcel!

I thought a head and took some better photos of my home this weekend and I'm showing them later this week! Tomorrow Picasso is going to the vet (to get castrated) tomorrow, so there won't be much crafting :(

FAA Parcel White & neutral

Here's the parcels that I'm sending out today. Loved putting these together, it's so easy when you like the colour combination. I have so much that are white or neutral coloured and I had them ready weeks in advanced. That never happens!
Today I have a lot to do. I have to get the painted furniture from my mothers to our apartment, paint some more thing I found! Get some more parcels ready and do the last ATC's...But it's all craft related things!

As soon as I have everything in place I'll take photos of our home. It's still not quite yet finished but we are getting there. We've been living here since February and it takes time if you don't want to buy everything new. And we don't... I still don't have curtains in every room! So much to do! :-)

See more tomorrow!

Mail goodies!

Tuesday morning was a good morning. I got two lovely parcels in the mail, filled with new great things! The last numbers, letters and words FAA parcel arrived, with a nice selection of fabrics and letters to put on ATC's:
And a PIF- parcel from Finland that is beyond words. I don't think I have received a parcel this great in a long time! The theme was vintage (which I love) and all the stuff was just great! See more picture of it here!

If you have some time to spare do a test!
Tomorrow it's Friday!

I <3 Tea

Yes, tea is a favourite drink! And lately I've been inspired to make more tea related crafts and here's a mosaic all with tea crafting ideas! I really want to make lavender tea bags! But first I have to find a good fabric...

To get the tea crafting bug out of my system I'll head over to swap-bot to look for some kind of tea swap. Or do anyone here like to do a tea swap with me? Or we could do a tea party again here in blogland? I'm not sure I'm the right person to coordinate it...but if there's an interest, we'll see!

Now I'm going back to flickr to look at more tea-inspiration!

More swapping...

My creation

Once again I have a post about my swapping...this time it was the numbers, letters and words- swap. A really hard one to make in my opinion. I didn't have any fabric with text at all and I don't like to go shopping for supplies for every parcel I'm putting together, if I did this would be an pretty expensive hobby!

When I'm not putting parcels together in the last minute I'm enjoying my last day of vacation in the rain.... It has been raining for a long time now here in my part of the world and I'm looking forward to some sun again!

Now I'm going to go and relax and prepare for work tomorrow (I have to take a train at 7 p.m!!) See more tomorrow!

PIF- Swap

PIF- Swap

I'm in a new swap...:-) The pay if forward swap. There's a group on flickr where you can sigh up, you list ten crafting items that you would like to receive and the person signing up after you sends you at least five of those ten things. So this time I only made one parcel and I'm not really allowed to post about it just yet. I'm supposed to wait until the parcel arrives...but I can't wait...!
tomorrow is the last day for signing up for the august PIF- swap, head over here if you would like to join!

Tomorrow me and Picasso is going to the vet for the first time, keep your fingers crossed for us! :-)

Mail goodies!

Some days I don't know what to post about and most of those days I don't post. Today was such a day, but when I came home from having lunch with Mr J and found another parcel for me from my FAA lucky parcel partner( By the way Karin, I think the FAA stands for Fabric addicts anonymous). I thought I could post about the joy of not always getting bills in the mail!

Here's the last fruit parcel I received today. This means no more mail parcels until late August...
Even though I not a Hello Kitty fan, there was lost of cute things in this parcel, the little rubber stamps was a favourite! The FAA lucky parcels group is a private group but there are lots of other groups over on flickr and swap-bot and I would be more than happy to start a new group if anyone is interested?

A red & aqua post

I often forget to post picture of the parcels that I receive in the mail, but not this time! Here are two out of three red & aqua parcels:

The first one is from jek in the box
and it was full with great things, mostly I liked the small printed fabrics!
The second one is from Sylviascreation
here I really liked the felt and the embroidery floss!
This is how mine turned out! I found this really pretty lantern to put all the stuff in and I'm pleased with the turnout. Now I won't have time to do a FAA- swap in a looong time...
and here's the content!

Happy Monday!

New crisp white!

I feel like blogging!:-)I have so much that I would like to share with you and I haven't been blogging in a while. I've finally changed the blog template to a crisp white one and are now just figuring out how to add a new photo in the header and to add my etsy in the side bar.... I'll be adding these to the shop in the beginning of next week! And hopefully you'll just have to click here in the side somewhere and you'll be in my shop within seconds!
And this is just a little pic of what I got in the mail last week. All the way from Israel and cats or dog in the FAA lucky parcel group!

Summer here I come!

My blog life can start again! I have five days off from work and soon soon it's time for my summer holiday!! This means that I'm starting swapping again, going to upgrade my much neglected etsy shop with the apple pin cushions and just put my feet up and do nothing sometimes:-)

FAA Lucky parcels swap # 20: Fruits
Here they are again the apple pin cushions that I love making so much. I have about 8 or 9 that are ready to be put in the shop. They are going to be sold together with some cute buttons!

So good to be back!

Pay it forward

I saw this on my blog friend Gunnels blog and quickly made a comment on that post:-) She makes the most wonderful things with fabric!

"I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don't know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."

So, hurry up and write a comment and sometime next year I'll send you a handmade gift!
Enjoy your Sunday afternoon!

Fall ATC's

A lot of blogging this weekend for me! Today I'm showing you my latest ATC's, this time more Fall inspired and with a hint of Halloween. We don't celebrate Halloween so much here but I still think that orange is a good fall color and from there it's not hard to add a spider;-) I'm thinking of framing these and hang them on the wall of my upcoming crafting room. Yes. I'm thinking of the big room in our new apartment that is going to be all mine!!!I'm doing a lot of home decorating in my mind at the moment and I can't wait to get started for real! But on the other hand it's a bit sad that I wont be able to decorate for Christmas in my own home since that is when we'll be moving. But I can still do Christmas crafting and sell in my etsy!!

Have a lovely Sunday afternoon!

Christmas ornaments

J is in London so as always when he's gone, I've been crafting a lot again! This time for a swap I'm in over at swap-bot: Christmas ornaments! I know there is still a few month before Christmas is here but this swap is for the end of October and I had to make five.
I had been thinking of this one for a long time, I wanted to make something old fashion but not too traditional. I found some vintage dish towels in a sturdy cotton and a grey linen fabric that was perfect for what I wanted to do. I made five different "Santa socks" or Christmas socks, i don't know what to call them...I really like how the turned out and are going to do them in a larger format to sell in my etsy. By the looks of it, my etsy is going to be up and running closer to Christmas!
The weather was really good today so I took some different pic's on them in my mothers garden. Here's the result:

I liked this picture the best, just randomly thrown into the laundry basket with the autumn sun shining on them!

Happy Saturday!
